Hanging out in Ft Lauderdale boat yard

This 85' yacht makes us look small

   We've spent the last week hanging out in a boat yard in Ft Lauderdale on the New River in the area known as Marina Mile.  This is where all the big yachts (& little guys like us) come to have any and all work done on their boats.  We a have few things on our list that need to be done to the boat before we start our cruise home to TN.  Everyday is very interesting here.  Yachts come in, yachts go out; big ones & small ones.  Across from us is the infamous Bradford Boat Yard where the mega-yachts go.  No place to walk to here, so fortunately we have our minivan with us (left with friends while we were in the Bahamas).  Otherwise, we are surrounded by many boat stores, Divers Direct, and lots of yummy restaurants!  The weather is not as hot as it was this summer, so we are enjoying our time in the area.  (Oh yeah - Ft Lauderdale Boat Show is next weekend!  good timing!)
